How it works
A pricing comparison table displays two or more plans side by side, showing the plan name, price and a list of features for each. Visitors can scan horizontally to compare plans at a glance, which helps them make a decision without reading through paragraphs of description.
This widget generates a static HTML table – there is no server-side processing or payment processing built in. For actual transactions, you would link each plan to a checkout page or inquiry form.
What makes a good pricing table:
- Clear plan differentiation: each plan should have a distinct purpose (e.g. free/paid/premium), not just arbitrary price increases
- Honest feature lists: include what's missing as well as what's included – transparency builds trust
- Highlight the recommended plan: if you have a preferred plan, use a different accent colour or label to draw attention to it
- Feature completeness: each row should have a value for every plan, even if that value is "–" or "Not included"
Pricing page SEO: pricing pages often rank well for transactional queries. Having structured, descriptive content – not just a table with prices – helps search engines understand what each plan offers.
Mobile consideration: tables are traditionally difficult on mobile. This widget uses a responsive layout, but very wide tables with many plans or long feature lists may still be hard to read on small screens. For mobile-first sites, consider a stacked plan view instead of a side-by-side table.
